WORC serves as an employee referral agent between employers in DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia and our region’s workforce development organizations.

It contains the latest information on training sessions and job fairs, employment opportunities for workforce development professionals, and hundreds of job openings for non-exempt positions.

√ 75% of WORC-referred individuals remain employed today.

“Train-the-Trainer” Events
WORC hosts monthly events designed to foster collaboration between workforce development professionals. Each event includes:

  • A continuing education session presented by volunteers from the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area (HRA-NCA).
  • An expanded networking session so that attendees can learn more about the various support services that exist in the community.
  • An overview of available jobs offered by a featured employer.

√ Over 500 workforce development professionals have been trained since 2007.
√ 90% of attendees highly agree that the “Train the Trainer” events are a valuable experience.
